It’s Calgary’s only dedicated all-ages music venue, rehearsal space and recording studio. Back in November, we talked about how The New Black Centre was closed down due to the discovery that it occupied space not zoned for live music. Well, the centre is open again, re-zoned and gearing up for business. CJSW’s Nathan Taylor Spoke with general manager Darren Ollinger about the centre’s re-opening, and about where things started to go wrong for The New Black.
